4 GENIUS WAYS TO WEAR EARRINGS WITH SENSITIVE EARS

best ways to wear earrings with sensitive ears

Hey hey...agaaain!

I've been lazy this weekend...I just want to rest, nne (mom).
The traffic blows I got during the week coupled with less sleep got me feeling like I
had to make up for it. Abi, I don't deserve it fa? Sure I do!
 Moving on....

I just shared with you a moment ago a brief insight on jewelry allergies (skin irritation caused by earrings, necklaces or chain watches), what's the real cause of it and also it's signs and symptoms.
I believe I get new readers (my Angels are definitely workaholics...lol) well, I love to think so. And in case you missed that post, be sure to check here so this thing i'm saying wouldn't sound mehh...to you.

BTW I typed this on my phone, Evernote to be precise. I just found it to be much easier and faster than typing on an actual PC keyboard (+ Le PC is now a TV *weeps*, till I get a new battery and Power isn't helping my situation at all) ....then e-mail it to myself, copy and paste to my Blogger composer then add finishing touches to it. And....!
 Anyway...

I used to envy friends who would rock any jewelry piece with ease...tbh, before I buy a pair of earrings the thought of me reacting to it comes to mind first and then I just give up...sometimes I give in especially when it's so gorgeous and I feel I won't come across that design again. At least it makes sleep at night knowing that God has destined me to be about that luxury life and sturvz(i'm just really hoping photo shoot pretty soon and I  happen to be lurking around...looool!)... But till then beautiful people; I found ways to cope with my jewelry allergies and beat it to say the least and I think it would help someone too.

Let's get on with it.

CLEAR NAIL POLISH

this is an oldie but still a goodie. Quite a number of you would have heard about it. I coat my earrings and necklaces with clear nail Polish from time to time and this works. Emphasis on 'from time to time'. This would work for you as long as you do a regular up-keep; because they wear off as when on your nails. Let's say once every 2weeks but this depends on how often I wear that jewelry piece.

 VASELINE

Vaseline has become a beauty staple in almost every household and I consider it an evergreen cream. From body moisturiser to lip balm to soothing sunburn amongst many others, I would say it's a miracle cream.
I take less than pea size amount and rub around my ear lobes before I put on my earrings. Take it as a lubricant which creates a barrier between your earring and your skin to help lessen contact.

COCONUT OIL

This is a die-hard staple for me o. (Hmmm... ) I use it for almost everything, from hair to body. And the same application for vaseline applies to this one as well. Please use organic coconut oil...

Side tip : If the package says for skin-use only, then it's not pure organic coconut oil. The thing is, if you can't take it in or use it for cooking then its also not so good for your body too.

PLASTIC STUD COVERS

I think this is no-brainer....yeah? Yeah! Plastic hooks should replace your metal hooks. Some ladies might pass on this step but ditching those metal hooks coupled with steps 1 & 2 or 3 would help you beat your allergy.
I practically have a stash of these because they just seem to displace themselves very easily plus they are cheap.
I buy these from the road-side jewelers in yaba that sell those 50Naira stud earrings and they come in a set and just go home and remove all covers and put in a box and dash the main earrings to the waste bin(of course I don't wear them...they are like spears for christ sake). I personally don't know where to buy solely the stud covers in bulk.
If you do, please let me know in the comment section.

  1. Hi dear, nice tip! And for the stress you go through before posting; you could just download the blogger app in google playstore or app world if you are using an iphone. It's very easy to navigate and you can post from there directly or save in draft. Hope this helps...
